The Cosmopolitans are three of Vancouver's best musicians, featuring Ian Cox on piano and vocals, Mike Kennedy on bass and vocals and Sam Cartwright on drums. Ian and Mike met in Selkirk College's jazz ensemble five years ago, and formed a unique group to perform a classy mix of swing and jazz standards, easy listening, pop, and bossa nova. They enlisted Sam after playing together at Capilano College's prestigious Jazz Studies program, and the band was complete. They have been busy playing in Vancouver's top hotels and restaurants, as well as the top wedding locations in the lower mainland. They have had some incredible performances at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and Kaslo Jazz Etc., and have had the pleasure of playing aboard some of the world's best cruise ships.

Together, these three fellows bring dynamic musicality, professional attitudes, and a great sense of humour to any situation. The Cosmopolitans can add the right flavour to any occasion, and their extensive song list will have toes tapping and people dancing!
